Making digital decisions without buying blind

A digital project can be difficult to assess before it exists. The answer is not to promise a return, but to make scope, ownership, approvals and measurement visible.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

01

My business does fine on word of mouth. Do I really need digital?

Expanding the system is not always necessary. Digital can help someone referred by word of mouth verify services, trust and the next step. First observe where the current journey breaks; only then decide whether to intervene.

02

I'm afraid of spending and seeing no return.

It is a real risk. Reduce it with an observable objective, a bounded scope, written costs and exclusions, and an approval point before production. A website cannot guarantee that it will pay for itself; it must be assessed alongside the other commercial factors.

03

I don't understand anything about technology. I'll feel lost.

You do not need to master every technology, but you should understand the decisions affecting the business. A supplier should explain alternatives, dependencies, recurring costs and consequences in plain language, leaving business approvals with you.

04

And if I can't manage it on my own afterwards?

Handover should include access, documentation and training for the agreed scope. Support and maintenance after launch should remain separate from ownership: you can continue with the studio or appoint another supplier.

05

Where do I start, without committing to something huge?

With a conversation, no commitment and no cost. You tell us where you are and where you'd like to go, we tell you honestly whether and how we can help. Sometimes the right first step is small. What matters is taking it in the right direction.
